Chopta Trek Itinerary

Day -1: Rishikesh to Chopta | Drive distance - 105km | Drive duration - 5-6 hours | Altitude - 2610 meter

  1. You can reach Rishikesh in the morning
  2. Reporting time at Natraj Chowk Rishikesh – 7:00 am
  3. Reach in sari village at 1:00 pm and trek start to Deoriatal, trek distance – 2 km
  4. Reach at chopta base camp at 5:00 pm, get served with hot tea and snacks followed by lip smacking dinner.
  5. Overnight stay in camp surrounded by dwarfed hills.

Day- 2: Chopta base camp to Tungnath summit | Trek distance - 6 km | Duration - 3-4 hours

  1. Morning wake up at Chopta base camp
  2. After a hot breakfast, the trek starts at 8:00 am for Tungnath. The trek is 5 km long; After reaching Tungnath, you can explore the Tungnath Temple.
  3. Then trek from Tungnath to Chandrashila peak( summit 1.5km) located at an altitude of 12,072 feet.
  4. After spending some time on the summit, you start the descent back to chopta base camp

Day- 3: Chopta base camp to Rishikesh

  1. Chopta base camp to Rishikesh
  2. 8:00 am start the breakfast
  3. After breakfast you will be driving down to Rishikesh
